South London’s HUNTAR bewitched us a few months back on liquid-grooving debut track ‘Expectations’, now the young producer-vocalist is at it again with fresh lick ‘Naked Noises’, which provides equally gorgeous glum-funk thrills. There’s more room for his surprisingly polished tones to breathe here - with smart, clacking breaks and short, intense bass bursts forefronted in the arrangement - but HUNTAR still plays it low-key and hushed. He’s got the dispirited downtempo sound nailed.
